It all started with an e-mail today from Jaren:
Hi Mom, How are the dogs doing? I really miss them! I want to get my picture taken with both of them and have it put on my debit card haha... Last night kassie and I were talking about why I love my dogs so much and she said 'I think you love oscar more.." I started telling her how each one has their own personality that I love. I was listing off all of the things I love about Tanner and I really started missing that little guy...
Passing the list back and forth, we came up with a lot of things we love about our 8 year old Yorkie. We know we're a very wierd family, obsessed with our 2 dogs! Here's the list probably only the bunch will understand. (By Jaren with a few from Mom)
1. How he won't eat bread unless it has butter or jam on it.
2. How he snaps and snarls when you try to take him from someone or off mom’s bed
3. The way he woo-woos… sometimes when people get home.
4. How he lounges in the bay window on the back of the love seat ALWAYS.
5. The way he gets ticked off at feet.
6. How he runs and goes crazy after a bath. Especially when he runs on his side in circles.
7. How emotionally delicate he is - gets mad and holds a grudge longer than Oscar does...
8. How he HATED HATED HATED the cat we had and would NEVER give in to liking it.
9. How he silly flips his bone in the air for attention.
10. How he is ALWAYS up for a game of fetch (or should I say, "throw it and try to catch me").
11. The way he looks when he has a tennis ball hanging out of his mouth and his butt is up in the air and his little stub wagging as fast as it can.. HAHAHAHA
12. He gives meaning to the word Ankle biter.
13. How he sometimes is extra cuddly for no real reason.
14. How he lifts one paw off the ground when he is extra curious. That is always accompanied with a slight head tilt and ears up
15. How he expects people to lift him onto the bed.
16. How he loves baths, the huge dose of extra treats and the blow dryer.
17. How he goes literally crazy for those little milk bone treats in the dog food lying all day by the pantry door just waiting for someone to give him one.
18. How he expects to have his own glass of water when everyone else has one downstairs.
19. The memory of him always sleeping on a hot pad in the kitchen when he was a puppy.
20. His temper with appliances that move (especially the vacuum).
21. He LOVES to kiss, his kissi-kissiness.
22. His fetish with Bad kitties.
23. How he loves to jump out of the laundry tub into a towel and be all wrapped up after his bath –
24. His little tiny teeth were SOOO cute….
25. How he reaches out his tiny paw to shake.
26. His tail when he actually shakes it!
27. How he loves to sit on the driver’s lap when he goes in the car!
28. He ALWAYS has to scratch on the bathroom door to come in when mom is in there.
29. His mug when he’s laying right flat on the carpet and you look at him and all you see is the big brown triangle of nose & eyes—I love that!
30. His throaty growls!
31. How he loves small places to hang out like under the sink, cabinets, shelves, paper bags, laundry baskets and tipped over boxes.
32. He grunts when he wants something and runs off leading you to something he wants
33. How he freaks out at people counting down the hallway.
34. How he goes CRAZY for anything that squeaks
35. How he can’t STAND it when you hold him back while Oscar plays!
36. How his tongue naturally sticks out all the time.
37. He loves to open presents
38. He loves to hide, chew bones & sleep underneath the Christmas tree
39. He knows the word TREAT really well.
40. How he looks at Oscar when you say the word: BEDTIME! Poor Oscar…
41. He thinks he’s the love policeman. If someone starts goofing around he’s there to break it up!
42. Has a super fat belly
43. Can jump 4 times his height
44. Only obeys mom…kids take a hike
45. Loves to be held by any one but Missy
46. We let him up on the table just to be with us

48. All of his expression is in his Yorkie ears: up, back, flat
49. Loves to roll in cow pies
50. We love it when he sits “fat” with his legs sticking out and his ears out flat
51. He won’t sleep under the covers
52. Works very hard to make a nest “just right” then plops down in it
53. How he takes 1 piece of dog food from his dish and walks slowly ALL the way across the kitchen into the living room to eat it and then walks slowly back for another one..Repeat again.
54. You can "goose" him really good
55. Worst dog breath on record before he lost his teeth
56. Now he has a pirate tooth...Aarh!!
57. Does very cute dog tricks especially shake, dead dog & beg
58. Has a very regal prance
